What to Expect During Your Tank Installation
Installing a propane tank is a significant project, and understanding what to expect can help ensure a smooth process from start to finish. At Granite Propane, we prioritize transparency & customer satisfaction.
Here’s a breakdown of what happens during your propane tank installation so you, your family, and your employees know what to expect:
Preparing for Your Tank Installation
During the onboarding process, a Granite Propane Customer Service Professional will help you determine the appropriate safety parameters to consider when choosing the location for your new propane tank.
Before the installation day, it’s important to ensure that all propane appliances are installed so that your Granite Propane Service Technician can complete the connection and perform a final inspection.
On Tank Installation Day
On the day of your tank installation, the service technician will arrive with the tank containing less than 5% of its total capacity. Once the tank is positioned & leveled at the agreed-upon location, your tech will connect a pressure-regulated gas line to the piping connection on the exterior of your structure.
The entire system will then undergo a thorough leak test and safety check. After these steps are completed, a delivery will be scheduled to fill your newly installed tank with propane.
Final Inspection of Tank
After the installation is complete, our technicians will conduct a comprehensive final test and safety inspection to ensure your propane system is functioning flawlessly. This process includes checking all connections for leaks, verifying that the pressure is correctly regulated, and ensuring that the system meets all safety standards.
Once the inspection is completed, the installers will check each of your propane-powered appliances to confirm they are operating properly. They’ll light any pilot lights, adjust settings as needed, and make sure everything is running smoothly.
To ensure you’re fully comfortable with your new system, our team will then walk you through the installation details, explaining how everything works and what to do in case of any issues. We’ll also provide you with important safety information and answer any questions you may have, so you can feel confident in using your propane system.
